Fun Swimming at Rave Water Park Pasig

Summer is almost over. My 2 boys are back to school, while the 3 girls will begin their classes on the 15th. Even with the start of school days, we wanted to have our last summer hirit or hurrah.

Huling hirti this summer. My girls had fun swimming

It was also Kuya Yuan’s birthday last weekend. The girls wanted to go swimming, so we decided not to go far. We, together with their lola, aunts, uncle and cousins, went swimming at Pasig’s Rainforest (RAVE) water park.

The last time we went swimming there was in 2012. I personally did not like the place, because it was so crowded and the pool water is dirty.

But this time, we are so happy to see that so much has improved. The place is not so crowded anymore. Well, perhaps, it’s because vacation is over for many. But I think there are other reasons for this.

One is the new rates they are imposing. The entrance fee is now P100 per adult and P50 per child 3 feet and below. That is the rate if you’re a Pasigueno, but if not, there’s a P50 increment on the price.
Another reason is the additional pools they have built. I think before there were just 3 pools, but currently there are 5 pools.

Pool with slide for little kids. The water is a little dirty but kids just go play and slide here

Pool with big slide. The water does not have a strong chlorine scent

More reasons to like RAVE water park

I also like the fact that the restrooms are very clean and odorless. They have staff maintaining the place really well.

The water park also has visible lifeguards who call the attention of the kids who want to swim in adult pools without someone accompanying them. That’s a plus for child safety. They also are the ones who might call your attention if you’re not wearing the proper swimming attire.

The cottages, which are made of concrete and not nipa huts, are also an addition that was not there in 2012. The rental price is just P500 and can accommodate 15 to 20 persons already. Some cottages also have barbeque grills and faucet/sinks. Bringing in of food is allowed here, which is really perfect for families who want to have some fun swimming with a limited budget. Tables with umbrella and chairs are also available for rent at P200.

Happy birthday, Kuya Yuan

I think we will be coming back more often here, because It’s just 15 minutes away from home and we all had fun. If we don’t have the budget for swimming, we could just enjoy the park and the kids playground for free.
