Blessings of Praying Children

Last Saturday, I felt so blessed.  I had experienced again for the 3rd time a very painful migraine.  My head hurt so much that I vomited.  I think I vomited everything  that my stomach contained.

So what's the blessing in that?  Well, in the midst of that turmoil, my children one by one prayed for me.  They prayed "Lord, heal mommy, in Jesus' name, Amen."  Their prayer was so simple yet made me feel so blessed and loved.

I guess it is really very important to teach our kids to pray.  It will build their faith in God and trust in Him.  It will teach them to call on the Lord when they need help instead of worrying or being afraid.  Plus, in reality, it is us, parents, who will be the first ones who will reap the fruits of their prayers.  Their  prayers worked.  I am now well and good.  Thanks be to God!

"But Jesus called the children to him and said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.'" ~ Luke 18:16

Amen!!! Those times that I have had affliction or a problem and one of my children came right to my side asking if he/she could pray for me...oh THAT blessed me so deeply and thoroughly! Glad you got to experience that, even though it took a migraine !
